Dealing with changes in life can be difficult for anyone. We’ve included resources from Slumberkins to put together this thoughtful care package. Founded by a special education teacher and a family therapist, Slumberkins was created to bring effective early emotional learning tools into the lives of children and their families.

Send this package to a family moving to a new home, a little one starting their first day of school, or to a child adjusting to a new baby sibling or blended family. Along with a soothing soup meal, Slumberkins Fox plush friend and accompanying board books help kids learn how to deal with big life changes in a gentle way.

Fox’s stories, “Fox, Your Love Stays the Same,” and “Sprite Offers Comfort” take a loving approach to discussing the changes and transitions that families may experience. Children learn that when changes happen, it’s alright to have big feelings and seek support when they need it.

The machine washable Fox plush toy is stuffed with hypoallergenic fiberfill perfect for cuddly hugs. During times of stress or anxiety, Fox will be right there with a reassuring squeeze to remind children that they are safe, loved, and never alone.

We’ve also included a motivational poster for the whole family. Hang on the wall or refrigerator for inspiration any time. This beautifully illustrated poster shows many of the emotions changes can bring, and that it’s okay to embrace them all.
